  • Fun In The Sun

Now I'm going to show you the rest of our pictures from the Tulum wedding weekend!  Okay, so back to where I left off...Friday we arrived.  Saturday was the wedding.  On Sunday morning, Justin and Steve went fishing and some of the rest of us went to see the ancient Mayan ruins in Tulum, one of the things I've always wanted to do while vacationing there.  It seems like we studied the ruins FOREVER in my ancient art history class in college, so it was nice to see some of it with my own eyes, instead of in the pages of a book.  Doug was our own personal tour guide, and he told us what all the sites were and explained them.  There were sooooo many rad spots in Tulum where I would love to take pictures every day...tons of great color and texture.  Too bad it's a 2 and a half hour flight and 2 hour drive away from here, or I would be using these spots daily.

WHY can't there be spots like this in Wichita Falls?  Oh, right...because they wouldn't pass code.

    Anyway, on to the ruins!

There were all kinds of big guys like him roaming around:

Then when we got back, we ate lunch and got ready for our catamaran tour.  We went with the Catamaya company, and I would definitely recommend it next time you take a trip to the Riviera Maya, even though I got really sea sick.  The trip included a 45-minute snorkeling trip, and a steak and lobster dinner.  Not bad, eh?
